BSB 19 years.

Honestly, I am not much of keeping blogs and putting down my feelings but with it being the Backstreet boys 19th anniversary, I thought I would write down just what they mean to me. Truth is unless your close to me, you probably have no idea how important the guys are to me and what the have truly done for me.

It was the summer of 1997, I had graduated middle school and was over at a friends house watching the box music network when QPG game on the television, it was then and there not I became a fan and have not turned back. I didn't know on that day what an impact they would have on my life not in a bad way but in the most amazing way.

As summer turned to fall, high school started for me and with that started the bullying. It was about my height, my weight and my love for Backstreet Boys. I would come home and have family get on me for my weight. The only thing that got me through that was the Backstreet Boys, they became my sanction and the one thing that could actually make me feel better.

In 1999, I was in Las Vegas for Backstreet Boys concert when I got the chance to go to the fan conference and thank the boys for everything they did for me.

Transcript: Nick: You wanna ask a question, miss? (coaxing) Go ahead…

Fan: (in a slightly quivering voice, emotional) My name is Brittany and I came all the way from New Jersey. Um, I've wanted to say this for a long time. Because of you I didn't kill myself. Um, I'm a junior in high school right now, but freshman year, I had a lot of problems. Um, I was sexually harassed and frightened and called everything you can think of and it hurt a real lot. But your music inspired me to keep on living and with you, I made a lot more friends. Um, it helped me so much and I'm so happy you guys came out and I have a lot of friends because of your music and every day, I'm happy because I can sit there and put on my CD player and listen to you and even my chemistry teacher is going to let me listen to you in chemistry because he knew it would make me happy and I can't do without it in school and because of you, in my locker I have a photo with me everywhere I go because I can't get through a day without seeing you because I get so scared they hurt me so much. I want to thank you guys, because…

Brian: Tell them we said to leave you alone or we'll come and get them Slight laughter and applause from the audience

Howie: …or we'll come out after 'em

Nick: And another important thing also is that this-this is the type of reason why we love to do what we do…to help people Audience applauds

Fan: Thank you guys so much

Kevin: You're very welcome. God bless you

This transcript was printed out and placed in my locker. It was what got me through the rest of high school. Honestly Brian and Howie especially have no idea how much they helped me that day, to show that people care.

It was there music that has kept me going and keeping me sane over the last 15 years. There is no amount of words that will show my thank you to them for their music. Last year when I was unemployed their music was what got me through it yet again. It kept me sane when all I did is want to crawl up and be miserable because unemployement sucks.

When Oprah was taking stories on why people should meet BSB I wrote this:

Bullying and suicide seem to be something that is talked about recently but when I was in high school from 1997-2001, I was bullied and picked on by my classmates and then I would go home to have my family get on me about being fat. I felt like I had no one there for me at the time because I could never do anything right and I felt like a failure to my parents because I was fat and a loser in school. There were so many days I wanted to climb into the shower and slit my wrist because I could no longer take the pain and hurt anymore. There is only two things that got me through it the Backstreet Boys music and my cousins Ashley and Cortney who I owe the Backstreet Boys for being close to.

Each day I would go home from school and lock myself in my room listening to the Backstreet Boys CD’s. Their song Roll with it from their European Backstreet boys CD was the song that made the biggest impact on my life because the lyrics spoke to me. It made me realize that as bad as things were at the moment that soon enough things would change and I would be okay.

At that point in my life, my life revolved around Backstreet Boys because their music was the only thing that made me feel happy. It was because of them that I became close with my younger cousins Cortney and Ashley, these girls became my best friends and we still are today. We would spend pretty much every weekend together watching Backstreet boys videos and listening to the Backstreet Boys music.

The Summer of 1998, we flew out to Las Vegas, NV and saw our first concert together which was also the Backstreet Boys first US summer tour. It was the tour that truly brought us closer together and from that tour up until I graduated high school we saw 12 concerts together. It was those concerts that gave us the bond we have to this day. It was those moments that kept me from killing my self and the reason why I am still alive today about to finish my masters degree in education.

While most people have had the chance to meet all the guys I have not, I have had the pleasure of meeting Nick, Howie and Kevin. I hope one day I can truly thank them for everything they have done for me not only being the music that kept me going especially the song roll with it but for giving me the most amazing memories and allowing me to meet so many amazing people who I can call friends.

So to the Backstreet boys who I doubt will ever see this, thank you for 19 Amazing years of music, smiles, memories and friends. You truly are one of a kind and I am so proud to call myself a BSB Fan. ♥

2009 so far...

I keep forgetting to update this thing, so my goal is to start updating it at least once a week or once every two weeks. The last time I updated this thing was back in January, which is like 8 months ago. So lets update you guys with what has gone on in the last few months I will start with April and then work my way to August, since I don't believe anything exciting really happened from January to April and if it did I obviously don't remember.

April 2009
Not much happened in April except that I went to my friend Jen's bridal shower at the very end of April which started my weekends of being busy from that weekend through the 1st weekend of June.

May 2009 ~ BEST MONTH :)
May 7th- 10th: Trevor and Katelyn's Graduation:
So May was my busy month. May started off with me traveling down to South Carolina for Trev's college graduation at the University of South Carolina. We arrived there thursday afternoon and went to dinner a whole bunch of us since Katelyn my cousin was graduating from there. Then the graduation was Friday afternoon at 3 pm, after Trevors and Kate's graduation we went to Chase (Katelyn's Fiancce's house) for their graduation party. It was a whole lot of fun, we played games and ate delicious food. Then Saturday we headed home from South Carolina. Sunday my best friend came over so that we could do last minute vacation plans.

May 15th: Tylers Graduation:
This was the day of my other little brothers graduation from Rider University, after his graduation we went to Jose Tejas for lunch. It was the first time I had that restaurant and it was tasty too bad the wait is usually 3 hours.

May 22nd- May 31st: London England:
May 22nd: Lisa and I had a 6:15 flight to London, She picked me up at like 10 am and we headed up to her house so that her father could drive me to the airport as well since my family all ditched me and could not bring me to the airport even though this trip had been in the works for almost a year.

May 23rd: Lisa and I each had about 1 hour of sleep on the plane over to London. We arrived at around 6:45 am and headed over to our hotel to drop our things off to head to Stamford Bridge to tour the stadium. We got matching Chelsea Jackets, Chelsea Magazine issues with our favorite players on it and over all just had a good time. From there we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the Girls aloud concert. Heading to the concert was a head ache and half because they were doing work on the Metro so we had to be rerouted on about 6 freaking trains to get there. We finally arrived at the o2 and decided to head to the merch stand first and then to get food and Cider. During the opening acts I took a nap but I did not care as I was going to see them 3 more nights during the trip. It was after the opening acts that we saw Cheryls mum, Nadine's family, Jason Bell and Will Demps who were sitting in front of us. I got to meet the two American footballers, I got to England in hope to meet footballers but met the wrong kind of footballers. The show was absolutely amazing and I am so glad we got 3 more sets of tickets. On the way home was another headache and a half because of the construction on the Metro and lack of trains coming. We wound up getting stuck first in West HAM area (while wearing Chelsea JACKETS), Then we get on another and wind up by the tower of London i think having to get a cab because the metro was barely running at this point. Once we arrived back at the hotel we passed out.

May 24th:
We hung out at the hotel tired from the day before before getting reading and heading to Girls Aloud concert number 2 at the o2. It was a great show and didn't take us all the time to get there and back this time.

May 25th:
We woke up at around 10 but didn't get out of our room untile around 12:30. We headed over to Piccadilly circus to get on the tour bus. We did the yellow line getting off at the London eye to do theat which was and amazing few. We could see the palace and Wembley Stadium. After we got back ont he bus we rode it around until we got to Baker Street. We got off and went to a camera store because my battery/charger one was not working. They didn't have the kind I needed and so we headed over to Pizza Express for dinner. We had heard so much about it from footballers that we decided to give it a try. I got a Margerita pizza and two glasses of wine and Lisa and i split chocolate cake and banoffee pie. Stevie G had said he loved Banoffee pie so we tried it and can see why the man loves it so much, the pie was so amazing. The food as a whole was amazing.

May 26th:
We just walked around Piccadilly and oxford area of london but headed back early because I was not feeling well. We had fish and chips in the hotel which sucked before we headed off to Wembley Arena for show number 3. Seats were okay as they were floor but again show was awesome.

May 27th:
We took the blue bus around and toured the Kensington area of London. The one cold day we had their and we sat on a freezing cold bus. We got off and had lunch in piccadilly at Fridays . After lunch we went to Accessorize and bought two bags from them. We then headed back to relax before our last show of the week. The show was amazing, we saw David Beckhams mother and got to see Barcelona beat Man Shit in the champions league match. When we got back to the hotel we got drinks to celebrate the win and talked to the bartender as well as some other guys about football and Girls Aloud. Great night.

May 28th:
We had to complain about maid service for the millionth time today and got a free dinner out of it. We headed over to tour Wembley Stadium home of the amazing England national team. The tour was absolutely amazing and witht he FA cup final being a few days away they had Chelsea things up everywhere. It was such a mind boogling experience to see where the national team plays. We were going to thead to the music expo at the 02 but changed our minds deciding we wanted to nap before dinner. We went to get our free hotel dinner which sucked so we ate a tiny bit and then headed to Pizza express to have some good food. We ordered our pizza's, wine and banoffee pie AGAIN. it was amazing. After that we headed back to the hotel around 11 and on our way back some guy threw up on the metro. I was lol'ing at the guy who vomited on the tube because I was sitting there and all of a sudden i hear BLAH-UUGGGHHH and then come guy asked for our bag. LOL.

May 29th:
We got up early, headed over to do the tower of London. We got lunch first at Wagamama's which was completely disgusting. After touring the tour of london we went to westminister abbey and then to do the music experience which we never did. We got starbuck and headed back to get ready for dinner with Carmel. We each had fish and chips and then shared 2 bottles of wine between the three of us. After dinner we went pub hopping and wound up being in the one area of London were all the Everton Fans were. They were not very kind to us as we were chelsea fans. We did meet a bunch of Scousers who were very nice and did like that Lisa and I knew football as American girls. I almost got in alot of trouble because I had no problem fighting back with these guys about Chelsea being better. Our last Pub i met a hot English boy named Brad but never kept in touch.

May 30th:
FA CUP Day. Lisa and I spent the day in the room getting over a hang over and watching the FA CUP match. CHELSEA BEAT EVERTON.

After the match we went over and had dinner at the Pizza express by Stamford bridge to celebrate the amazing win. My Baby's daddy scored so I was very happy.

May 31st:
We headed home which was far too sad if you ask me :(.

Everton- Liverpool based team who played Chelsea at the FA Cup. We went out the night before the match wearing Chelsea jackets so we got some dirty remark.

June 2009:
I went to my friends Bachalorette party in LBI. We did dinner and had drinks well everyone else but me had drinks as I was the designated driver for danielle and I since we were not sleeping in LBI.

July 2009:
I spent most weekends down the shore and had my friends wedding which was a lot of fun.

August 2009:
This past weekend I went to beatstock at PNC with Ashley, Corto and Kaes. We met Steph, Brian and Megan there. I got to see the Backstreet Boys play which truly was the only good part of the entire show. I was miserable minus during their three song set. It was hot, someone was smoking pot right near me which made me want to vomit and people were just gross. We left right after BSB and rocked on the way home to them in the car. Such a good set even if it was only three songs. :)

Review of my 2008, 2009 Plans and Football

My Year Review of 2008
January:
I was excited for 2008 to come and it was the start to planning on my London trip.New Years Eve, Ashley and I went dinner and that's when I asked her to come so we could see Backstreet Boys and Girls Aloud. Other wise January was quite boring.

February:
February, I started grad school at the U of Phoenix to get my masters in Elementary Education. I also went to see Spice Girls for the first time which was quite exciting because I completely and utterly love them. I got to see my best friend Lisa since I rarely get to see her.

March:
My brothers turned 21 this month and we went to Webster Hall for their birthday quite a boring month other wise. Nothing else really happened I don't believe.

April:
Absolutely NOTHING Happened during the month of April.

May:
Absolutely Positively the best month of 2008 by far. I went to my friend Amberly's wedding wth a friend of mine from work but that isn't what makes it the best. The best part is from May 14th - May 18th I was in LONDON. I absolutely love that city, it is gorgeous and I just fell in love with it like I never loved a city before. We arrived on the morning of the 14th and I headed straight to Stamford Bridge to tour the stadium which I absolutely loved and honestly I can not wait to tour it again. The night of the 14th I went to see Backstreet Boys (Seriously they were AMAZING) and the night of the 16th I got to see GIRLS ALOUD AND THE SATURDAYS. I didn't hear the saturdays all that well but I love them now. That had to be the best night because I am such a huge fan of Girls Aloud and was so happy to be there. We obviously did the normal tourism stuff while there. We rode the double decker bus, I went into Soccer Scene store and bought goodies. I had an amazing time and was so sad to leave.

June:
Another boring month where nothing at all happened.

July:
Really all i did was work and kept busy with school nothing too exciting if I do say so myself.

August:
August was a fun month I went to Puerto Rico with my family and my brothers girlfriend Gina. It was a nice Holiday away with the family and while Puerto Rico was my least favorite place I went I did enjoy myself and it really is a beautiful country. Well not that I saw the whole country but you know. We did spend 3 hours in the car one night lost quite a bloody funny time with the family.

September:
Sadly enough I turned 26 but I spent my birthday with my cousins and 3 of my best friends (Lisa, Marisa ad Gloria). It was Lisa's 21st birthday so we went to Bamboo Bar down in seaside and we got completely plastered while we were there and my friends and I did not get out of bed until 3pm because we were so hung over from the night before.

October:
Halloween night I saw Backstreet Boys and Donnie Klang in Montclair it was such a amazing and fun night and a lovely way to end the month of October. We dressed up at work and I was a Popstar since that was the costume my Boss picked out.

November:
Thanksgiving Happened but other wise that was it. My mother and I drove down to Virginia and back to pick up my grandmother and spent 17 hours or something crazy in the car.

December:
On the 13th I went to Jingle Ball in the city which was quite amazing. Well let me rephrase that Neyo, Leona Lewis, Jesse McCartney and Chris Brown were the amazing part of the night. As for as Christmas went my secret santa(s) gift was amazing. I got the Girls Aloud Style DVD and Calendar as well as Brain Age for DS from my very secret Secret santa. As my other gifts I got Money, a London Calendar, a Chelsea Pennent, Chelsea Jersey with Valenti on the back, and a coach wristlet. From "Santa" I got money, earrings, a Pink Nintendo DS, Fifa 09 and Mario Party. It was a very lovely holiday this year and I loved everything I got.New Years Eve, this year I spent at my friend Carolina's. I had a blast even though I almost killed myself leaving trying to walk drunk in hills and snow on the ground is not good for me.

Football:
I've been completely upset with my two favorite captains John Terry and Steven Gerrard. First off John Terry got a three match ban and he is completely amazing so it's sad to me when he does not play.

Steven Gerrard was arrested the other night and while I find something completely screwy with the whole story. I think he is innocent, if he punched the lad or did anything wouldn't he have some sort of bruise but Nope.

While my love for football started with Liverpool FC, my best friend has converted me to a Chelsea lover. I don't know if I will ever truly stop loving Liverpool because I do root for them if they aren't playing Chelsea. I do feel like if Chelsea isn't taking the Prem league then I would rather Liverpool over Chelsea even though I would much rather see Chelsea win. I love waking up on weekened mornings to watch football, it is the best part of the weekends.

My 2009 Plans:
1st Thing is that I will graduate grad school and hopefully student teach as of the fall.

May is a very busy month for me.
May 8th: Is my Brother Trevors Graduation
May 15th: Is my Brother Tylers Graduation
May 22nd: I leave for London
May 23rd- May 31st: I am in London and will be going see Girls Aloud, tour Stamford Bridge and do lots of other things
May 23rd & May 24th: Girls Aloud Live @ o2 Arena
May 26th & May 27th: Girls Aloud Live @ Wembley Stadium (Ugh so excited as that is the home of England National Team.)

I really hope I get the chance to meet Girls Aloud but who knows.

First Blog Post

So this weekend was a family Christmas Party weekend starting friday night with my own Christmas Party that was orignally suppose to be friends and family but only friend was able to make it to my holiday party as the weather here was ghastly. We had a snow, sleet, rain mix going on all day and the roads were just horrible making it hard for people to get here.

Friday (19/12/2008) started out on a good note with me taking a sick day as the weather was so bad that I was not going to drive all the way to work. It hadn't started so I decided to go out and get things for my party, after going to the food store I decided to drive to my aunts and drop off an early christmas gift. As I was coming home I am driving down one of the roads and slide a bit on ice and fixed myself but the guy behind me couldn't in time and ended up hitting my car. I was pretty annoyed but got over it because the guy was truly sorry and I know it was the conditions outsides fault. Anyway, I become too nervous to drive the rest of the day so my brothers drove me later to get liquor for my party. The party was fun my cousins, friend Erin, my brothers girlfriend Gina, my cousins boyfriend DJ and Brothers were there. Everyone had a good time and I am very glad that they did.

Saturday (20/12/2008) was the annual Aunt Deb(dads side) neices and nephews holiday party extravagnza that she has had the last few years. This year it was Aunt deb and Aunt Jill of course, my cousins Ashley, Katelyn, Cortney, Stephanie and Megan, my cousin Jessica (moms side), her boyfriend David, DJ and Gina (brothers girlfriend and Cousins Boyfriend), Ryan and Robby (Cousin Stephanies Friends who my aunt loves). We go to the movies and mall before heading off for a nice dinner at a restaurant in hoboken and then we sleep over in Hoboken. This years movie was seven pounds with Will Smitth, it was a really good movie though a bit slow at first but overall a very good movie. After the movie we headed back to Deb's house before going to a German Restaurant Helmers which wasn't as bad as I had expected and I had a good time. Cortney's boyfriend DJ and I kept trying each others things. It was quite a good time but unfortunately we couldn't spend the night because we thought the weather was going to be bad and we didn't want to take the chance of getting stuck in hoboken.

Sunday (21/12/2008) I was going to just relax after a busy weekend but ended up going to best buy with Ashley, Cort and DJ before we ended up having lunch at Friendlys. After that I went toTarget with my mom as I had to get my family dog Kaylee and my brother and his girlfriends dog Alana gifts.

So earlier this week I was on the phone with we will call her Amanda and she went on to tell me how I was poor and asked why I would spend so much money on my brothers. I was quite annoyed and mad that she would say that because I am not poor and I like giving to my little brothers and this will be the last time they get nice gifts until I start teaching.

Right now I am currently listening to BBC radio 1 on my computer as I absolutely love more UK artists I feel so I get the chance to hear them on the radio. I am loving the X-Factor winner Alexandra she is quite amazing, its funny I live in the US but I love more UK things even though I can't even watch them.

Speaking of England and music I am going to England in May to see Girls Aloud Twice at the O2 and Wembley with my best friend I am truly excited and can't wait.

Alright I am heading off now I think this is a pretty long first post.
